The first and leading global mobile application and game real-device automated cloud testing platform, Testin and its subsidiary, Testin Lab, have released Monthly China Android Mobile Index June Report on July 16th 2014. The report illustrates devices, such as Samsung GT-i8150, Lenovo K860, HTC 606W and Xiaomi Mi2s gain the most attention, while manufacturers, such as Lenovo, Huawei, and Samsung win great popularity among developers.
Testin Lab is the subsidiary of Testin, and commits to provide comprehensive mobile Internet data investigation and data analysis based on over 10,000-time daily testing on Testin cloud testing platform for both China and global developers. Testin Lab report defines various dimensions, such as App download, popularity, stability, start time and compatibility to illustrate the ranking of manufactures, mobile brands and device performance.
According to the June report, ZTE V961 with 264.66ms start time has been proved to be the fastest mobile, Sony XL39h with 99.13% pass rate turns into the most compatible device, while MOTO ME863 comes to be top 1 unstable mobile device.
Among top 50 popular CPU brands, Qualcomm and MTK gain huge market recognition in China with 56% and 16% market share respectively.
Among top 50 crash device brands, Motorola becomes the most unstable mobile device in June, but still, it is 10% lower than device with the highest crash rate last month.
Among top 50 unstable devices, Chinese-made mobile phones have higher possibility to crash. Coolpad and Motorala turn into being the most typical ones among which are a lot of low-end and old models.
Among top 50 fastest start time devices, ZTE V961 with highest boost time (264.66 millisecond) wins #1, who is carrying a 1GHz Tegra2 CPU.
June index sees an overall good performance among Top 50 mobile with Sony XL 39h mashing its way to #1 with 99.13% compatibility, the rest of them are all above 97%.
Where are they?
Those newly released phones with high-end hardware and amazing benchmark scores, may not get ideal App compatibility or quick start time. By analyzing massive data from Testin, we find a trend that the more developer are involved in optimizing their App based on the mobile, the better mobile performs. Xiaomi MI3 is a representative, though with a 1.8GHz, Quad-Core, Nvidia Tegra4 chip, is still missing from either the Top 50 compatibility ranking or the Top 50 start time ranking, further proving that developer"s targeted optimization is always playing a significant and necessary role to help OEMs & Chip vendors to release successful devices.
