元器件交易网讯 3月6日消息，据外媒报道，广达电脑为直接客户生产云计算数据中心服务器已经有三年时间，预计2014年服务器出货量同比增长20%，估价同比增长40%。
广达针对直接客户服务器市场，已建立了全资子公司广达云技术集团（QCT）。QCT总裁、QCT总经理杨晴华（Mike Yang）称，自2014年伊始广达已获得较去年十倍的服务器查询量。
广达电脑已将拓展了为中小企业建立私有云计算平台的服务。
为促进直接客户销量，广达已在美国的弗里蒙特和纳什维尔、中国的北京和上海、日本、新加坡及德国建立了市场基地，并计划增加欧洲。广达已与当地公司合作提供售后服务。广达的直接客户包括谷歌、Facebook、亚马逊、微软、NTT、KDDI、韩国电信及新加坡电信。
广达的直接客户服务器比例从2011年的34%上升到2012年的64%，并在2013年达到85%，预计2014年将达到92%。NEC是服务器ODM生产最主要的客户。（元器件交易网毛毛 译）

Quanta Computer has produced servers forcloud computing data centers for direct-account supply for three years andexpects total server shipments in 2014 to increase on year by 20% in volume and40% in value, according to the company.
Quanta has established a wholly-ownedsubsidiary, Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT), specifically for the direct-accountserver segment, according to Mike Yang who is QCT president and general managerfor the Cloud Computing Business Unit under Quanta Computer. Since the beginningof 2014, Quanta Computer has received 10 times more inquiries about serversthan a year ago, Yang said.
Quanta Computer has extended operation todeveloping customized solutions for small- to medium-size enterprises to set upprivate cloud computing platforms, Yang pointed out.
To promote direct-account sales, Quanta hasset up marketing bases in Fremont and Nashville, in the US, Beijing andShanghai, in China, as well as in Japan, Singapore and Germany and plans to addanother in Europe, Yang indicated. Quanta has cooperated with local companiesto offer after-sale maintenance services. Quanta"s direct-account clientsinclude Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, NTT, KDDI, Korea Telecom andSingapore Telecom.
Quanta saw the proportion direct-account serversrise from 34% in 2011 to 64% in 2012 and further to 85% in 2013 and expects theproportion to increase to 92% in 2014, Yang said. For server ODM production,NEC is the major client, Yang indicated.
