元器件交易网讯 3月6日消息，据外媒报道，随英特尔、微软两大巨头重点转移至入门级笔记本，上游供应链将增加二、三级供应商零部件的采购。
随英特尔推出低价处理器、微软提供为299美元以下的笔记本提供高达70%的许可折扣，上游供应链关心的是两大巨头积极的促销将促使笔记本厂商将重点放在入门级笔记本机型，并从二级、三级供应商处采购零部件以降低成本。
英特尔针对价格在199-349美元的10.1-15.6英寸的笔记本电脑，正在推销兼容Windows8、Chrome OS及安卓系统的Bay Tail M、赛扬U及奔腾U、奔腾Y系列处理器。
售价为399美元的华硕10英寸笔记本T100自面世已出货100万台。

For US$199-349 10.1- to 15.6-inchnotebooks, Intel is promoting its Bay Tail M, Celeron U and Pentium U/Y seriesprocessors, which are compatible with operating systems such as Windows 8,Chrome OS and Android. However, the move is likely to impact Intel"sprofitability in 2014, the sources said.
Asustek"s 10-inch T100 priced at US$399already shipped over one million units since launch, the sources noted.
As consumers are turning to use notebooksmainly for document processing, low-price notebooks are already capable ofsatisfying their demand. Google is also trying to grab a share of the segmentwith Chromebooks and Android notebooks.
