元器件交易网讯 2月24日消息，据外媒Engadget报道，德州仪器（TI）推出新款高清DLP（数字光处理，Digital Light Processing）微型投影芯片，厚度与铅笔尖类似仅有0.3英寸。

We wouldn"t say that smartphone projectorshave exactly caught fire, Samsung"s Galaxy Beam notwithstanding. Part of theproblem is the extra bulk required by pico projector components, which is whereTexas Instruments comes in with its new HD "Tilt and Roll" DLP Picochipset. They"ve now got the size down to about 0.3-inches, or about the sizeof a pencil-tip as shown above. That should let makers of tablets, smartphonesand wearables add 120 Hz projector powers to their devices. It"s also the chipused in Avegant"s Glyph VR headset so it might be beaming a movie directlyto your retinas at some point in the future.
