元器件交易网讯 2月21日消息，据外媒报道，三星电子于2月20日在首尔推出全球首款可弯曲超高清电视。
据该公司称，弯曲半径4.2米，配置清晰的分辨率和更高的色彩饱和度，全景显示将为消费者提供一个3D感觉的体验。
它希望这不仅维持其超高清电视在全球的领导地位，也寻求加大与中国的市场技术鸿沟，缩短与日本的距离，积极推动UHD向前发展。
该公司视觉显示屏部门主管称Kim Hyun-seok在发布会上称，“我们将努力在全球范围内扩大超高清电视市场，特别是首次专注于北美和欧洲等发达市场，在那里我们有超过50%的市场份额。”
“我们将能够扩大我们的市场份额(新电视)。”
该公司表示，它将优先考虑韩国高清电视目标消费者，为其提供55-65英寸弯曲UHD电视和50英寸平板UHD电视，而为海外消费者提供65-78英寸可弯曲超高清电视。
105英寸可弯曲超高清电视将针对中东和中国地区富裕的消费者。

Samsung Electronics, the world"s largest television maker, introduced the world"s first curved ultrahigh-definition TV in Seoul on Thursday.
The new TV, which is curved at a radius of 4.2 meters, features clearer resolution and higher color saturation, and a panoramic view that offers consumers the feel of an “IMAX” experience, according to the company.
It hopes not only to maintain its global TV leadership with its UHD TVs, but also seeks to widen the technology and market gap with fast follower China, and shorten it with Japan, which has aggressively moved ahead with UHD.
“We will make efforts to market our UHD TVs globally, especially by focusing first on advanced markets such as North America and Europe where we have a market share of over 50 percent,” Kim Hyun-seok, head of the company"s visual display division, said at the TV"s unveiling event in Seoul.
“We will be able to expand our market share in the regions (with the new TVs).”
With its key technology of curved display panels, the tech giant seeks to release its line of UHD TVs in the global markets beginning next month after it further retools the design and sets the prices.
The company said it would target consumers with HD TVs by prioritizing its marketing of 55- and 65-inch curved UHD TVs and 50-inch flat UHD TVs, in that order, to consumers with small living rooms such as those in Korea. It will market 65- and 78-inch curved UHD TVs toward overseas customers with more room in their houses.
The 105-inch curved UHD TVs will be marketed toward rich consumers in the Middle East and China, it noted.
The company displayed its new product showing director Michael Bay"s “Transformers” movie clips including the new “Transformers: Age of Extinction” trailer for the first time in Korea.
