元器件交易网讯 2月17日消息，据台湾主板制造商消息，AMD公司预计将于3月底在新兴市场推出其APU平台Kabini，但不在中国发布，因为AMD已经对于许多型号的APU降价，以实现在中国市场与英特尔的竞争。由于这些机型与Kabini APU之间的价格差距比较小，因此，Kabini可能不具备足够吸引力。

同样大小的芯片，晶体管更多，规格全面升级，性能普遍提升10-20%，功耗大大降低。

消息人士称，AMD公司预计2014年第一季度将出货30万块Kabini处理器，上半年出货120万块，全年共出货380万-390万块。

AMD公司预计在2014年下半年为台式机推出Beema APU系列。

AMD will not launch Kabini in China, say Taiwan makers

AMD is expected to launch its APU platform Kabini at the end of March in emerging markets except China because AMD has already lowered prices for many APU models to compete with Intel in the China market, and the price gap between these models and Kabini is small and therefore Kabini may not be attractive enough, according to Taiwan-based motherboard makers.

AMD is expected to ship 300,000 Kabini processors in the first quarter of 2014, 1.2 million units in the first half, and 3.8-3.9 million units in the whole year, the sources indicated.

AMD is expected to launch the Beema APU series for desktops in the second half of 2014, the sources added.
