A trip through the AnTuTu benchmark site by the unannounced Xiaomi Mi4, reveals that this handset will feature high-end specs including the same chip expected to power flagship phones manufactured by Samsung, HTC and others. Steve Wozniak recently put the Woz stamp of approval on the company, saying that its phones are good enough to challenge high-end models sold in the states. Wozniak has been using the manufacturer"s current high end model, the Xiaomi Mi3.
Expected to be the next flagship Android model from the manufacturer, the Mi4 just went through the AnTuTu site where it was revealed that the phone will feature a display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The size of the glass is unknown. The benchmark site lists the Mi4 as having the most powerful version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC under the hood, the MSM8974 A clocked at 2.46GHz. This is the same silicon that is rumored to grace the innards of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One 2. The Adreno 330 GPU will take care of the graphics. 3GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage are on board. The 13MP rear-facing snapper is accompanied by an 8MP shooter up front. Android 4.3 is driving this prototype, which should support 4G LTE networks.
Xiaomi expects to sell 40 million smartphones this year, which would be double the amount it sold last year. With models like the Xiaomi Mi4, you can see why the company expects to be so prosperous in 2014.
